Stay Buddy (hereinafter "we" or "us") strives to protect the personal information we handle in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter the "Personal Information Protection Act"), related laws and regulations, guidelines, and the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter this "Policy"). Terms used in this Policy shall follow the definitions set forth in the Personal Information Protection Act.

Article 1: Purpose of Use of Personal Information

We clearly state the purpose of use of your personal information and use it within the scope of that purpose. If a need arises to use your personal information beyond the previously stated scope of purpose, we will notify you accordingly and use it only after obtaining your consent.

Article 2: Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

When acquiring personal information, we will do so through proper means. Except where it should be treated as an exception under law, we will publicly announce the purpose of use in advance, or promptly notify or announce it to you after acquisition. However, when acquiring information directly from you in writing (including electromagnetic records), we will state the purpose in advance. Special care-required personal information will be acquired only with your consent, except where it should be treated as an exception under law.

Article 3: Management of Personal Data

We strive to keep the personal data we handle accurate and up to date within the scope of the purpose of use, and to delete it without delay when it is no longer needed (except where a retention period is stipulated by law). We also implement the following necessary and appropriate measures for the secure management of personal data, including the prevention of unauthorized access, alteration, leakage, loss, and damage, and supervise our employees and contractors.

Article 5: Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling

We may outsource operations necessary to provide our services. In such cases, we limit this to the minimum personal information required for the relevant operations and likewise restrict its scope of use to that scope. We also thoroughly examine the suitability of the contractor, and through contracts including confidentiality obligations, we implement necessary and appropriate supervision — such as ensuring use only within the scope required for the outsourced work — striving for the proper protection of personal information.

If you personally make the following requests regarding the personal information we manage, we will respect your intent and take necessary action within a reasonable scope in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.
